Yes. Over time support props, especially the all-steel props, will rust if left outdoors or in humid conditions. This can affect the performance of the prop and its ability to bear heavy weights, so it is important to keep your props stored indoors where possible. | |||

You can maintain steel props by using an oil and water based lubricant on the prop threads (the parts that connect the inner and outer poles) occasionally. | |||

On lightweight support props the rubber feet may wear down over time and lose some grip.
Replacement feet are not available so the whole prop will need to be replaced. |
