Visually inspect the scraper’s blade, handle and shaft before each use to make sure there is no damage or wear. If there are signs of damage or wear on the handle or shaft, then the scraper will need to be replaced.
Cleaning your gasket scraper
After removing a gasket, oil, solvents, and other chemicals may be left on the handle or blade of the scraper. To clean the scraper, apply some washing up liquid to a damp clean cloth, then wipe down the handle, shaft, and blade. Once you have finished cleaning your scraper, dry it thoroughly using paper towels.
Storing your gasket scraper
Keep the scraper in a case (if provided) or in a safe place to avoid damage.
